Was the first professional Adventure Company in Bali, Indonesia. Established in 1989, in our history of over 26 years of ZERO accident operation on the river we have set the highest international standards in the rafting industry with no company even petting close.

While starting as a small company on the Ayung riverbanks without facilities we quickly grew into the the most popular “activity” for tourists in Bali. After a couple of years we added Cycling trips, jungle trekking, village visits and 4×4 trips to our repertoire. SOBEK’s guides are traine to the highest international standards in safety, first aid, rescue and customer service. They undertake foreign-language training courses in a number of major languages, to ensure guests from all corners of the world are not only comfortable whilst SOBEK guest, but also are given in-depth safety briefings before embarking on one of our tours.

Sobek has been home to our over 300 employees for a long time; many of them have worked for us for over 20 years. Considering the fact that a river guide needs at least 10 years experience and continuous training on the river to become great in his field… we are proud to have the oldest guides on the river, not the boldest ones… (see our guide profile…) That’s why we don’t use untraine free lance river guides to reuce operational costs. We think it’s worth it, but do you? We take care of our staff, so they can take care of you and your family!

About Insurance For Your River Rafting

Your travel insurance policy excludes river rafting from its coverage, which means you will be relying on the tour operator’s insurance.

We will have insurance that covers you in the event of injury or accident, and they may pay a benefit in the event of someone’s death (you are very unlikely to die on a river in Bali). Still, it will not cover any valuables you bring with you.

• The client is urged to protect his/her investment with travel insurance.
• Sight seeing tours cover up: IDR. 25.000.000
• Fun Activities and Adventures accident (death) expenses insurance up to IDR. 250.000.000,- 

If you want to take your smartphone or camera on the kayak with you, make sure they are stowed safely and in a waterproof container.

We have taken care of our river for decades and Last year we continue our green efforts by replacing all our facilities with comfy Unique friendly bamboo architecture… it feels better, smells better and now our buildings use less electricity…
